Platoon Blu-ray/DVD Combo (MGM)
Today’s Deal on Fire is the Blu-ray for 1986′s Platoon. This Vietnam war drama, directed by Oliver Stone, won four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. Not a bad flick, but I must say it still doesn’t have anything on The Deer Hunter or Apocalypse Now. I mean, what would Platoon be without Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings?
