George Romero becomes a dead-head for Call of Duty: Black Ops

George Romero

George Romero

The Night of the Living Dead director will play himself in a zombie-themed expansion pack of the stealth game series. In addition to Romero, Danny Trejo, the good Nightmare on Elm Street’s Robert Englund, and The Grudge’s Sarah Michelle Gellar will also have parts in the game. This is not the first time Romero has influenced a zombie-themed game, as his movies were the basis for the Resident Evil series. Though, ironically, Capcom chose not to cast him to direct the movies adaptation of the games, even though they would’ve allegedly starred Bruce Campbell and had an optional NC-17 version. A trailer for the pack can be viewed at the link.
