Reviews

EKU®'S REVIEW: Certainly, this is one of Andy Lau's greatest roles. A complex character tied up with pass emotional events from his childhood. He says to his suffering girlfriend, "This is not about racing, this is about my confidence", when he plans to race the champ of Macao Grand Prix. This movie has several great racing scenes and also some very dramatic scenes that will make even the toughest guys and girls shed some tears as well. This is a very well made movie.

EKU®'S RATING: 9.5/10

VIC NGUYEN'S REVIEW: Derek Yee Tung-sing's follow up to the surprise hit C'est La Vie Mon Cheri earned equal acclaim, and again was huge at the box office. Andy Lau Tak-wah stars as a motorcycle racer who must contend with the strained relationship between his girlfriend, his father, and a hot-headed best friend who is constantly putting his life on the line. Lau is superb as the star, but Chin Kar-lok outshines him with a fine performance which earned him a best supporting actor award. The great performances, along with exhilirating race scenes and some fine script writing makes Full Throttle yet another worthy effort for director Yee.

VIC NGUYEN'S RATING: 7.75/10
