Reviews

MIGHTY PEKING MAN'S REVIEW: Derek Yee (C'est La Vie Mon Cheri), Hong Kong's master of tear-jerking drama flicks, delivers another emotional tale of loss, struggle and re-discovery of happiness. It's good to see Lau Ching-Wan in a film that uses his flawless acting abilities to their full potential; I'll take a melo-dramatic chick flick - like this - over one of those goofy "bra" or "baby" comedies any damn day. And Cecilia Cheung... what can I say? She's cuter (and skinnier) than ever. She sports a 'plain Jane' look which I highly prefer over her glamorous styles that we're used to seeing in her media coverage. Of course, her acting is outstanding. She's one of those actresses that's natural when it comes to dramatic roles. Louis Koo, who shares top credits is limited to a small but crucial role as the deceased loved one in which the movie revolves around. Overall, Lost In Time is fresh, gripping and easily one of the best of it's kind in recent years of Hong Kong cinema. Recommended.
