BEN POPPEL'S REVIEW: This Movie should of started out with Tony Leung going straight and Shu Qi breaking it off with Jackie. And they should of titled it Gorgeous 2. But instead we get a fairly goofy comedy that plays on sort of the same romantic formula. The two leads did an exceptional job pulling off their roles for this type of movie. I actually enjoyed watching Shu Qi act, almost as much as I enjoy just watching her. The other chick in the flick wasn't that bad either (I mean to look at, not her shallow acting). Well I guess, in a way, everyone's acting in the movie was pretty shallow - but it all seemed to work for this type of silly romantic comedy, well, what do you know... it was also directed by Jing Wong, that explains a few things. Overall this film was enjoyable for what it presented and not for what it was trying to be. But I still felt like I was watching Gorgeous most of the film minus the fighting. Witty, charming, simplistic, and pretty fun.

It sure seems like Tony Leung likes to play these romantic roles. Hopefully he will have some action parts in the upcoming Hero, and not just be the love struck horny man.
