VIC NGUYEN'S REVIEW: Prior to filming his acclaimed period drama The Bride With White Hair, director Ronnie Yu delivered this enjoyable, highly underrated gem which unfortunately has been all but forgotton. Ng Man-tat, Yuen Biao (in a non-fighting role), and a young Leon Lai Ming all headline this pic, with martial arts stars Jimmy Wang Yu and Leung Kar-yan each making appearances in supporting roles. The comedy hits the mark and the actors give delightful performances, but Yuen Biao's acrobatic cooking scenes are most definitely the highlights of the film. Highly recommended to fans looking for something a little different.
