THE MOVIE: Dark Horizons reports that Time Cop star Jean-Claude Van Damme is joining the Dominic Burns’ sci-fi adventure flick UFO, about outer space invaders appearing in the English countryside. Gosford Park’s Richard E. Grant, Assassination Games‘ Bianca Bree (AKA Van Damme’s daughter), Generation Kill’s Sean Brosnan (son of Pierce), and Simon Phillips co-star.
Update: Added the teaser poster. IMDB lists the plot as such: one fine morning a group of young people realize they’ve been robbed of functioning mobile phones, radio, and electricity. When they try to escape this situation on foot, they discover a huge flying saucer. Soon civilization as we know it starts to break down, and the five friends find themselves in the middle of an anarchic turmoil.
BREAKING NEWS: It’s here at last, the International trailer for UFO – featuring a shotgun-wielding Van Damme.

If I were JCVD, I’d be wondering why the hell it took this long for me to get this kinda work, compared to Downey.
Kickboxers vs. Aliens!
I always thought “Time Cop” was rife for a sequel, if JCVD wants to delve further into sci-fi. Too bad a direct-to-video movie with Jason Scott Lee beat him to the punch.
Remember the talk of “Abominable” in the late 90s? It was that movie Van Damme never made where he was supposed to take on the abominable snowman.
I could insert a “snow” joke here, but I liked Universal Solder: Regeneration too much to do so. =D
I was abducted by a UFO once, yeah they ended up sending me back because I enjoyed the Anal Probes just a little bit too much.
