"The Hunter" Festival Poster
THR reports that the company has picked up the novel-based Aussie thriller about a merc hired to track down a rare Tasmanian creature. Daniel Nettheim directed, Alice Addison wrote the script, and Antichrist’s Willem Dafoe plays the lead. Jurassic Park’s Sam Neill and A.I.’s Frances O’Connor co-star in The Hunter. Magnolia plans an early 2012 theatrical and VOD release for the film. Trailers for The Hunter can be seen here.
