I’ve read the book and Jackson is already adding all kinds of extra bullshit not necessary to the film. He’s bringing back Legolas and Frodo who are nowhere to be found in The Hobbit book. Aragorn is not in the book either so he should not be in the movie as well. The book is only like 320 pages and they cut it into 2 parts to bring in extra cash for the corporate crows. I felt Jackson did well on the first trilogy but I felt he lost the Fantasy feeling on the Two TOwers and Return of the King. It just felt like they were fighting orcs on Earth not Middle Earth. There needs to be more fantasy elements added to the film to make it a different place because the film looks too much like just regular planet Earth in some cases.

RE: Trailer. Insert World of Warcraft jokes here.

  3. NegativeCreep says:

The Hobbit book is just a quarter of what the Lord of the Rings book. It makes me wonder how much they will bastardize the film just to add shit in the movie to make it longer so they can properly justify cutting the film into two movies.

  4. NegativeCreep says:

Chip the glasses and crack the plates!
Blunt the knives and bend the forks!
    That’s what Bilbo Baggins hates
Smash the bottles and burn the corks!

Cut the cloth and tread on the fat!
Pour the milk on the pantry floor!
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat!
Splash the wine on every door!

Dump the Crocks in a boiling bowl
    Pound them up with a thumping pole;
And when you’ve finished, if any are whole,
Send them down the hall to roll!

    That’s what Bilbo Baggins hates!
So, carefully! carefully with the plates!

  5. Ningen31 says:

Ugh. They were stretching the book enough already, trying to make it into *two* films. It’s *not* as epic as LOTR.

  6. saintstildeath says:

i don’t care Jackson making 2 or 3 movies as long as they’re good.

  7. Mari says:

As more as there Legolas in it, I say make these movies, PJ! Can’t wait to see my favorite Elf ever! :) The more Legolas, the better!

  8. ActionJackson says:

Hahaha the Hobbit book is only 330 pages and they are milking 3 movies out of this. Money oh they can smell all that money, but this fan is no fool. 3/330=110 pages per movie? Seriously, it’s got to the point where they are just making up stuff now beyond Tolkiens books and it’s all about money, no respect for the source material. I like Lord of the Rings but they kind of messed it up with Elijha Wood fack accent, and wimpy acting.

  9. Aragorn says:

Lo hobbit sicuramente è un film da non sottovalutare anche se per molti aspetti andrebbe migliorato.
