Makes sense to me: The guy has tackled gangster (Dogs/Pulp), horror (From Dusk Til Dawn), blaxploitation (Jackie Brown), martial arts (Kill Bill), road (Death Proof) and war (Basterds)….
Give me a QT Western or Sci Fi any day! =D
I agree with MPM! However, I wish QT would crank them out a little quicker!
That would be nice if he could crank ‘em out faster. But who knows… if he did, I think he would fall into a Coen brothers thing; you know – coming out with new movies all the time, and they’d all be hit or miss or average. QT definitely gives us quality over quantity.
What the hell, man? You finally stopped being called “Titanic Boy” with The Departed and Inception, and now you wanna go slumming with what will no doubt be a third-rate character? Or are you just in some sort of competition to out-redneck Brad Pitt’s character in IB?
All I have to say is this better not suck!
Sure as hell hope not. She’s better than that.
Dicaprio still looks like a little pudgy boy with wrinkles. The supporting cast will make this movie fun though.and Christoph Waltz is a great actor.
That’s a pretty shitty cast. I’m a Jamie Foxx hater, and wished they got Michael Jai White for the lead instead.
What’s wrong with Kurt Russell? Seems like he has ‘I can’t do cool movies disease’ lately.
Supposedly, this movie is dealing with the issue of Slavery in such a raw and realistic way and it’s scaring some actors off (or making them anxious)…at least that was the rumor with Russell.
I don’t remember, what was Tarantino’s cameo in Death Proof?
Apparently, the print of the original Django is the Italian dubbed version, if my theater is any indication.
