THE MOVIE: A sequel to the 2006 video game adaptation is coming to theaters…in 3D. This time around, new director Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) is adapting the storyline from Silent Hill 3 while incorporating elements from the first movie, including returning cast members Sean Bean and Radha Mitchell. In theaters on October 26th, 2012.

EscapistMagazine.com has set pics and indicates that the film will be based on the third game in the series. CBM reported that the film’s mostly done and being worked on in post-production. After numerous delays, Revelation 3D is coming out just in time for Halloween.
Bloody Disgusting has a new interview with the director from Comic Con, in which he indicates that he is aiming for a hard “R”-rating. Also, the first clip of the movie – featuring the famous Silent Hill nurses – is now online at the same link. And here’s a creepy and NSFW poster for Revelation that a fan picked up at Comic Con.
