"Rise of the Guardians" Teaser Poster
The L.A. Times has a first look at this children’s book-based animated adventure about how Santa (Rock of Ages’ Alec Baldwin) the Tooth Fairy (Rango’s Isla Fisher), the Easter Bunny(Real Steel’s Hugh Jackman) and the Sandman team up to fight the Boogeyman (Hugo’s Jude Law). Jack Frost(Star Trek ’09′s Chris Pine) is a teen who isn’t sure which side to take. Rabbit Hole’s David Lindsay-Abaire is working on the script. Thanks to Dark Horizons for the link.
Update: This is not to be mistaken with the upcoming Saving Santa, which revolves around an elf trying to defend the jolly gift-deliverer against a “Neville Baddington”. The Hobbit’s Martin Freeman, Ferngully’s Tim Curry, and Centurion’s Noel Clarke co-star in Saving Santa, while Space Jam’s Leon Joosen is directing. The film is scheduled for a December 2012 release.
