Via Rotten Tomatoes, Slashfilm indicates that the Godzilla re-remake director wants to do a sci-fi about a child who traverses the galaxy while encountering mostly robots. [Hmm, now where have I heard that before...?] The link also notes a Zombies vs. Robots graphic novel adaptation in the works possibly being pursued by Michael Bay. The latter project involves a girl living in a post-apocalyptic setting in which she encounters robots and surprisingly self-aware members of the undead. [This sounds familiar, too.] Edwards himself is not involved in the sequel to his indie horror movie, Monsters.
