THE MOVIE: Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly, has assembled Earth’s mightiest heroes. This is the movie that all of Marvel Studios’ movies like Captain America and Thor have been building up to. The budget is a whopping $220 million and the cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L. Jackson.

EW reports that after its record-smashing $207.4 million debut last weekend,The Avengers easily stayed atop the box office in its second frame, rising to $103.2 million over the Friday-to-Sunday period. AICN hints at a compelling rumor that Disney may go ahead and put Joss Whedon’s three hour director’s cut of The Avengers back in theaters in August, in order to hype up the Blu-ray release and possibly dethrone James Cameron’s $760.5 billion dollar Avatar from the top of the box office.

(You know, I think that’s the one question no has asked Evans: How effing painful was it go hairless? Because the man has quite the impressive man mane, if you ask me.)

The film already has grossed $640,000,000 in 12 days international. The Harry Potter record has been broken! Blockbuster smash hit!
I just saw the Avengers and it’s the best Marvel comicbook movie made so far. It’s like a Marvel movie on superaction steroids. Action packed, cool story, bad guys, everything has been boosted up 10 notches. The CGI is top notch, after you see this movie all other tech in movies looks corny and outdated. I actually got a buzz from this movie because atter I saw it my adrenaline kept going after the film was over. It was full blast comic book fun done right, and if you skip this one I ask why did you waste your time watching all the others?
I’m okay the first time I saw it.. No need to sit in a damn movie theater for 3 freaking hours…
Yeah they should just save the 3 hour cut for the blu ray. No need to burn the movie out. The Superhero movies are getting released almost at the rate Kung Fu movies were in the 80′s lol.
